General Manager with more than 20 years of experience in corporate governance, executive leadership and strategic decisions aimed at maximizing company value in industrial and manufacturing sectors.

He grew sales 6x, raised EBITDA by more than 140% and reached a 75% share of the country's most regulated markets. He has driven sustainable growth, technology modernization and international expansion across Central America and the Caribbean, in demanding sectors such as medical devices, high technology and pharma.

  • Positioned Grupo Vargas as leader of the medical device cluster in free trade zones, with a 75% share and 15% year-over-year growth for five years.
  • Led CAPEX investments of nearly US$2M a year and implemented ERP (SAP, Metrics and Oracle), doubling production capacity.
  • Earned ISO 9001, ISO 13485, ISO 27001 and ISO 50001 certifications, plus Carbon Neutrality.
  • Consolidated an organization of 350 employees and 25 leaders under a holding-style model, cutting turnover from 22% to 14%.

Executive with more than 20 years in management, administration and international corporate finance across Costa Rica, Guatemala and Panama. He has led companies and regional units, from running an agro-industrial group to serving as finance director for the Central American cluster of BDO and for McCann Worldgroup, pairing business vision with rigorous financial control.

He has built organizational structures from scratch, restructured entire areas and supported boards on long-term plans, with annual budgets of up to US$50 million.

  • Restructured the finance and administration area of a high-complexity hospital in four months, improving its results by more than 90%.
  • Took McCann Panama to the highest profit margin in its history (2008), with 80% revenue growth.
